12x10mm Double Papyrus Egypto Ring
Papyrus has been important to humans for millennia. It was the symbol of Lower Egypt, where the Nile delta empties out into the Mediterranean, and the papyrus plant flourishes. Papyrus, along with the Lotus, were some of the first plants to be immortalized in durable materials, the first fake flowers! The Egyptians figured out a way to dry out Papyrus rushes and weave them together to form the world’s first paper. It soaked up inks and paints alike, examples of which still bear their colors thousands of years later. The plant had a sacred connection with the afterlife, often depicted intertwined with the equally sacred Lotus flower. To the Egyptians, Papyrus was a symbol of love and worship, for both lovers and gods.
